Nume

At Scaleup Finance, I was part of the team behind Nume.AI, a new AI-powered platform designed to support company leaders to make the best financial decisions possible. My role was a combination of product and design, where I assisted in the process of structuring as well as evolving the AI-platform. I worked on building Nume’s first design system while also supporting rapid prototyping during the critical research phase and early user testing stages, exhausting but fun days at work. This project taught me to move fast, think systematically, and lastly the importance to collaborate closely with colleagues and leaders of the organization.

Challenges

Nume.AI was still in its early stages with no established design system or clear product guidelines. The team needed to test ideas fast while maintaining enough consistency to grow and develop further, therefore my goal was to assist creating a flexible design foundation that could evolve with the product on the long run, under tight research deadlines.

Results

The team managed to deliver polished prototypes always ahead of schedule, facilitating the user research phase and making it a success. The design system we introduced has since then become the visual and structural foundation for the product. Allowing the team to stay consistent and aligned as they continue to grow the platform.

Our work led to develop sharper user flows and a clear product direction, all during the early stages of the startup environment.

Process

I worked closely with the Lead Product Designer to build Nume’s first design system from scratch. Using Figma, I designed and structured key components that allowed future growth but also served prompt needs for prototyping and handoff.

Moreover, I participated creating high-fidelity prototypes for core user journeys, which were used in early user interviews to test assumptions and get fast but accurate feedback. Lastly, I also took part in reviewing interview recordings and taking notes, with the goal of identifying key insights to guide future design decisions.

The entire process demanded high collaboration between the team. Ultimately, I wasn’t just designing screens; I was part of connecting the dots between system thinking and user needs while moving fast and under pressure.

Conclusion

Working on Nume.AI was a valuable experience. I had the chance to combine structured design thinking with fast-paced prototyping and contributing to real product strategy. Lastly, I can proudly say I was port of shaping this tool that’s redefining how finance teams work.
